محكمة الاستئناف تنظر غدا في قضية وائل عباس المحكوم عليه بالسجن ستة أشهر في قضية ملفقة
دعت الشبكة العربية لمعلومات حقوق الإنسان اليوم كافة المدافعين عن حرية الرأي و التعبير في مصر والعالم إلى التضامن مع المدون المعروف وائل عباس ، الذي صدر الحكم بحبسه ستة أشهر في شهر نوفمبر الماضي ، في قضية تفوح منها رائحة تلاعب بالقانون ، حيث لم يعلم بها أي من وائل عباس أو محاموه بالشبكة العربية سوى لحظة اقتحام قوات الأمن لمنزله لتنفيذ الحكم في شهر ديسمبر الماضي 2009 ، ثم أيدت محكمة الجنح نفس الحكم في 21يناير 2010 ، رغم ان القضية برمتها ملفقة ، ولا تعدو أن تكون إتهام بقطع سلك وصلة إنترنت عن شقيق لأحد ضباط الشرطة.
و سوف تنظر محكمة جنح مستأنف حدائق القبة ، والواقع مقرها في محكمة شمال القاهرة في ميدان العباسية بالقاهرة غدا الخميس 18 فبراير 2010 في جلسة الاستئناف ، حيث يأمل محامو وائل بالشبكة العربية لمعلومات حقوق الإنسان أن تنصف المحكمة المدون في هذه القضية الملفقة التي يظهر فيها بوضوح تلاقي المصالح بين وزارة الداخلية في الانتقام من المدون المعروف بكشفه للعديد من وقائع التعذيب والفساد ، مع رغبة أحد الضباط وهو شقيق لخصم وائل عباس ، عقب مشادة تم فيها الاعتداء على وائل عباس في شهر أبريل الماضي 2009.
ومن المعروف أن وائل عباس قد بات هدفا لانتقام وزارة الداخلية وضباطها منذ أكثر من عامين بسبب نشاطه الواضح على مدونته في بث ما يعرف بـ "كليبات التعذيب" حيث دأب ضباط الداخلية على التشهير بعباس دون أن تردعهم النيابة العامة ، ثم بدات سلسلة من المضايقات ضده أثناء سفره أو عودته من بعض الرحلات خارج مصر ، تمثلت في الاستيلاء على متعلقاته وتوقيفه في مطار القاهرة ، لتصل الأمور إلى ذروتها بقيام الضابط اشرف عجلان وشقيقه احمد ماهر بالاعتداء على وائل عباس في منزله ، وبدلا من عقاب هذا الضابط وشقيقه ، قامت النيابة بحفظ التحقيق ، ثم محاكمة وائل عباس نفسه والحكم عليه في قضية ملفقه ولم يعلم عنها أي شئ في نوفمبر الماضي.
وقالت الشبكة العربية لمعلومات حقوق الإنسان " هذه القضايا الملفقة ضد المدونين باتت منهج تلجأ له وزارة الداخلية ، وحين تكون احدى هذه القضايا الملفقة ضد مدون معروف مثل وائل عباس ، فإنها تصبح ايضا رسالة هامة لكافة المدونين ومحاولة لتخويفهم و لإجبارهم على الصمت تجاه الممارسات البوليسية لوزارة الداخلية ، لذلك فنحن نتوجه بهذا النداء لكافة المدافعين عن حرية التعبير والمناهضين للتعذيب في مصر والعالم أن يتضاموا مع وائل عباس ، وألا يتركوه فريسة لوزارة تضرب بالقانون عرض الحائط وتشجع ضباطها على العصف بحقوق المواطنين في مصر".

Appeal Hearing Tomorrow for Wael Abbas, Sentenced to Six Months in Prison on A Fabricated Case
Cairo, 17th of February, 2010
The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information called ,today, all defenders of freedom of opinion and expression in Egypt and the world to solidarity with the known blogger Wael Abbas, who was sentenced to six months in November 2009, in a case that strongly bears a manipulation of law.
Neither Wael Abbas nor ANHRI lawyers were notified on the case until the moment security forces raided Wael’s home to execute the sentence in December 2009. Misdemeanors court upheld the sentence on 21/1/ 2010, even though the entire case is fabricated, merely charging Wael of cutting an internet cable of a police officer’s brother.
The appeal hearing will be held at misdemeanor court of Hadayek Al Qobba , located at Abbasia Sq., North Cairo court premises. ANHRI lawyers do hope that the court would be considerate on this fabricated case that clearly displays the meeting of interests of the interior ministry to take revenge at the blogger, known for exposing many torture and corruption incidents and the pay back desire of one of the officers, brother of Wael Abbas’s adversary , following an argument in which Wael Abbas was abused , in April 2009.
It is known that Wael Abbas has become a target for interior ministry and its officers for more than two years because of his persistent endeavors to broadcast the so called "torture clips". Officers have repeatedly orchestrated Abbas without being deterred by prosecution. Following, on his departures and arrivals at Cairo airport , a series of harassments began against him like seizing his belongings and arresting him at the airport reaching to the peak by a having a police officer ,Ashraf Aglan, and his brother ,Ahmed, assaulting Wael at home.
Instead of punishing the officer and his brother, prosecution concluded the investigation. Moreover ,Wael himself was tried and sentenced , in November 2009, on a fabricated case about which he knew nothing.
The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information said, "These fabricated cases against bloggers turned to be a known approach of the interior ministry. Filing such a charade case against a well-known blogger, is indeed a terror message to all other bloggers and an attempt to intimidate them and silence them on the police practices of the interior ministry. We are calling on all defenders of freedom of expression and anti-torture activists in Egypt and the world to solidarity with Wael Abbas and not to leave him prey of the interior ministry , the prime aggressor on the law in Egypt , a ministry that unleashes officers to violate rights of Egyptian citizens”.

اليمن :بعد الممارسات الجائرة ضد الصحفيين
التحقيق مع ناشط حقوقي وبرلماني سابق بسبب دفاعه عن حرية الصحافة

استنكرت الشبكة العربية لمعلومات حقوق الإنسان اليوم ، تصاعد الحملة الجائرة التي تقودها الحكومة اليمنية ضد الصحف والصحفيين المستقلين ، والتي تواصلت لتطال الآن الناشط الحقوقي "محمد ناجي علاو" منسق الهيئة الوطنية للدفاع عن الحقوق والحريات "هود " والعضو السابق بالبرلمان اليمني ، حيث قرر رئيس محكمة الصحافة المتخصصة إحالة لناشط الحقوقي للتحقيق من قبل النيابة العامة بتهمة الإساءة للقضاء ، عقب انتقاده لمحكمة الصحافة وأعلن أنها محكمة استثنائية مخالفة للدستور والقانون.
وكان ناجي علاو قد أنتقد محكمة الصحافة المتخصصة في شهر مارس الماضي 2009 ، أثناء مشاركته في ندوة نظمتها منظمة "سجين" وقامت صحيفة البلاغ بنشر وقائع الندوة ، مما أدى إلى إحالة الجريدة نفسها إلى المحاكمة ، التي ستنظر جلسة يوم 27فبراير الجاري. وقد قوبل قرار مجلس القضاء الأعلى بإنشاء محكمة متخصصة للنظر في قضايا الصحافة والمطبوعات في مايو الماضي بانتقادات واسعة في اليمن من الصحفيين والداعمين لحرية الصحافة .
وقالت الشبكة العربية لمعلومات حقوق الإنسان "هذه الممارسات الحكومية الجائرة ضد الصحافة والصحفيين يجب أن تتوقف ، وتوسع هذه الحملة لتطال أحد أهم النشطاء الحقوقيين في اليمن والعالم العربي ، يهدد بعودة اليمن لعصور الظلام والاستبداد السياسي السابقة ".
يذكر أن المحاكم اليمنية باتت الأنشط في العالم العربي ، حيث لا يكاد يمر يوم دون محاكمة جائرة ضد صحيفة او صحفي ، بسبب نضالهم الجاد لدعم حق المواطنين في التعرف على الأوضاع المأساوية التي تسببت فيها الحكومة ، فضلا عن التذرع بما يسمى الحرب على الإرهاب لضرب حرية الصحافة ونشطاء المجتمع المدني الذين يرفضون هذا التردي المستمر في الأوضاع السياسية والاقتصادية في اليمن.

Yemen: After The Unfair Practices Against Journalists
Human Rights Activist And Former Interrogated For Defending Press Freedom .

The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information denounced today the escalated crackdown against newspapers and independent journalists in Yemen , extending to human rights activist now. Mohammed Naji, coordinator of the National Commission for Defending Rights and Freedoms "HOOD" and former MP, was prosecuted by a warrant issued by the Head Judge of the press court charged with abusing judiciary as Naji has criticized the press court and claimed it exceptional ,unconstitutional and illegal.
On March 2009 , Naji criticized the specialized press court in a symposium organized by "Sageen," (prisoner) organization. AlBalagh paper reported on the event leading to prosecuting the newspaper , setting 27/2/2010 for the hearing.
The decision of the supreme judicial council , in May 2009, to establish a specialized court for press and publication cases was widely criticized and unwelcomed by Yemeni journalists and supporters of press freedom.
The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information said , "These unfair government practices against the press, journalists must stop. Extending the crackdown to persecute one of the most prominent human rights activists in Yemen and the Arab world is quite alarming and is a herald of returning to the dark ages of tyranny and political oppression in Yemen".
Yemeni courts have turned to be the most active in the Arab world, where an unfair trial is held for a newspaper or a journalist almost daily because of their persistence to support the right of citizens to be aware of the tragic situations caused by short-sighted government practices. In addition, the government holds the so-called war on terror as an excuse to attack press freedom and civil society activists who stand against the continuously deteriorating political and economic situations in Yemen.
